Popular home decor store planning second Lehigh Valley location | Eat, Sip, Shop

EASTON, Pa. – A preferred household decor shop is expanding in Northampton County.

Abode Household Decor, which opened in 2021 at 27 E. Belvidere St. in downtown Nazareth, is arranging to open a next retail outlet in June at 131 N. Third St. in downtown Easton, operator Krista Lichtenberger mentioned.

Business has been great at Abode, and Lichtenberger credits her faithful and expanding purchaser foundation for the business’ success.

The new shop will allow for a larger sized collection of products, which include more home furnishings and lights alternatives, in a “huge, stunning room,” Lichtenberger reported.

“We are also wanting to have a domestically created part,” Lichtenberger said. “We have some neighborhood craftsmen that we work with, and we required to give them more room and provide extra of these exclusive objects that are produced ideal in this article in the Lehigh Valley.”

Lichtenberger, of Bushkill Township, reported she is psyched to be a part of the downtown Easton company local community and pointed out that the forthcoming shop is “super exclusive” as she grew up in Easton.

“What truly prompted us to occur to Easton is that we have been set up at the Easton Winter Village, and we experienced a seriously good working experience there,” Lichtenberger explained.

The forthcoming shop, next to Cake & Corolla, will have all of Abode’s “rustic, nevertheless modern residence decor and furniture,” including lamps, shelving, toss pillows, signs and wall art, wooden crafts, vases, flower pots, serving platters, tableware, cleaning soap dispensers and holiday break and seasonal merchandise.

Hand-crafted items are sourced from suppliers across the region, such as wood wall decor from Kentucky and Wisconsin tradesmen and neighborhood wreaths from a Bangor artisan.

“We have also been providing regular monthly do-it-oneself nights, which have been truly well-known,” Lichtenberger reported. “We do almost everything from cupcake decorating to wreath-earning. That’ll continue in Easton.”

Lichtenberger is still finalizing the Easton store’s several hours, but she notes that it will stay open up later on than the Nazareth locale on find times to coincide with the city’s vibrant nightlife.

She’s scheduling cosmetic updates to the Easton space to make it “cozy and welcoming,” and she’s also contemplating expanding the small business further down the line.

“I have big goals for [Abode],” Lichtenberger claimed. “I might sooner or later like to give dwelling companies, interior style and design and home organization.”

Abode is going into the downtown Easton place now occupied by Two times Chic Boutique, an upscale consignment store offering outfits, sneakers and components, and it is unclear what the long term ideas are for that business. An owner or manager did not right away return a concept seeking a lot more facts.
