The Best Home Stores in America: House Beautiful’s Official Guide
By William Harvill 2 years agoRETT PEEK; ROBERT RADIFERA; NICKI SEWELL
For the past four years, our editors have been compiling our (and our favorite designers’) favorite home shops into a highly-anticipated annual list. From sprawling warehouse sales to chic boutiques in big cities, these shops run the gamut in style, location, and offerings, but they each serve up something that can’t be found anywhere else. Whether it’s impeccable atmosphere, an enviable assortment, or a setting that can’t be beat, each of our awarded shops is well worth the road trip. So, we figured, why not create an easily-navigable guide to encourage just that?
Below, you’ll find a state-by-state and city-by-city guide, complete with maps, to our best stores of all time. And, to sweeten the deal, many stores have agreed to offer HB readers an exclusive discount code (redeemable in person or online)—not that you need any more reason to shop them! Read on for all the deals, and consider your next road trip planned.

Each item in the Shoppe reflects this sentiment, from handmade throws to refurbished furniture. If you’ve ever wanted to peek inside an interior designer’s shopping cart, this is the place. —Hadley Mendelsohn

She tapped Christina van Hengel as a partner to run daily operations, stripped the space down to its industrial bones, and set up a collective-style store with everything from clothing and textiles to ceramics and leather goods, with several exclusive collaborations. The most important criteria, according to Williams? “It has to be something I just love.”
