She and other designers were organized into groups and supplied specified sections of the White House to adorn.

“I was on the Starbright Crew,” Herrick explained, and assigned the East Wing entryway. Her team also worked on Gold Star trees in the East Wing, which honor members of the navy and armed forces families.
