Guess the rent of this San Antonio apartment near the Pearl
Guess the rent is stepping away from modern apartments once again and heading into the historic Tobin Hill neighborhood near some of the city’s most popular nightlife spots. This week we are looking at an upstairs two-bedroom apartment at 318 E. Park Ave., which is not far from San Antonio’s Gay Strip, the St. Mary’s Strip, and the Pearl.
The apartment is in a historic looking home and appears to be a duplex situation. It has recently been updated but still includes wood flooring throughout the apartment. It’s also basically a stone’s throw from downtown.
But again, the question remains if you’re paying for the apartment or the location?
Let’s take a look.
This isn’t much of a tease but we have to start at the staircase because that’s our entrance.
This is at least my favorite room in the house. If you read this series often you’ll know why, but this many windows in one room is a dream. I would make it my bedroom.
Here’s a look at the shiny wooden flooring that can be seen throughout the unit. This might be the second bedroom but you could use the space how you like within this 1,050-square-foot apartment.
This space looks like it could be a dining room that would fit a fairly decent-sized table.
The kitchen has been updated with a subway tile backsplash. There are no appliances in this photo but the listing says appliances such as a washer and dryer are included.
The bathroom has also received an upgrade with wavy white ceramic tiles in the shower.
And we end on the porch, which is a nice amenity for a space like this.
So how much will you pay for this apartment in Tobin Hill? The Craigslist post says that the price is $1,150 per month with a security deposit of $450. The deposit is commonly first month’s rent. The post does ask for the tenant make a certain amount of income but also says housing choice vouchers are accepted.
Pets are also accepted on a case-by-case basis.
