With flexible, remote working becoming more commonplace in the UK, creating the perfect ‘working from home’ environment has never been more important. With space at a premium, it’s perhaps not surprising that in John Lewis’ report, 19 per cent of its customers admitted to using their living rooms for work (increasing to 30 per cent for those with children). The living room is no longer just a space for sitting — and for those who don’t have a separate home office, it’s now one of the top rooms in the home that doubles up as a study space.
